Didn't Toei keep going with the Sixth Ranger partly due to PR and their desire to have a Sixth Ranger? Carranger and GogoV not withstanding.

I doubt that... even if Saban wanted one... Toei isn't going to care at all, they're going to do what benefits them and not what benefits Power Rangers.

During the MMPR days toei acoomidated PR more. Which is why we got Zyu 2 footage.

I think its more that Sentai set up PR using the sixth ranger concept. PR was just lucky to adapt Sentai at the tme their was a sixth ranger .

It does seem too obvious to just be a coincidence. Maybe it was a little bit of both. Sentai and PR worked together to make it happen.

Maybe they just liked the concept and started using it every year I wonder why Carranger didn't have one? It was wierd to suddenly stop having one only the third year after the concept debuted.

that was different they were paid for the Zyu2 stuff but all they were told is to create new monsters and shoot them with Zyuranger stuff. Saban didn't give them any other instructions so anything else we got was just Toei being nice.

Zyu 1.5 footage however is a bit different. What's Zyu 1.5 footage? Saban Entertainment sent over a crew to Toei's studios to shoot additional footage of Bandora and her minions and it was requested that the same people were in their suits. Toei agreed to that since it was part of their contract.

I am sure he did. Tommy was so much more memorable than Braui.

As much as I hate what the character became, Tommy as Green Ranger was iconic. And I have no doubt he cemented the Sixth Ranger thing being a yearly tradition in Power Rangers and Super Sentai.
