Re: Why was Samurai a mess?
Samurai was awesome. It had a great storyline and great characters. I loved the Samuari theme. The villains could have been better though. Only Dekker waa memorable and he got a lackluster ending.

Re: Why was Samurai a mess?
The fact Saban Brands wanted an MMPR rehash while production wanted to heavily adapt Sentai doomed the series. As both philosophies undercuted each other. We wound up with a series that slaved to Sentai for no good reason.

Re: Why was Samurai a mess?
Saban Brands should have listened to Tzachor. He did a great job with Samurai and got the show back on track after the RPM debacle. Even though the Saban Brands stuff could have wieghed them down.

Re: Why was Samurai a mess?
The show was just a poor recreation of Shinkenger. And the actors were directed veey poorly. The MMPR references seemed forced.

Re: Why was Samurai a mess?
I thought it was a work of art and an example of how to produce American Sentai, if you must do anything original. Excluding the stupid MMPR stuff. Which Tzachor wisely left on its own.

Re: Why was Samurai a mess?
I had high hopes for this season and hoped Tzachor would produce something closer to Space or Galaxy. Especially after how good Ede was able to make RPM's first half. But Tzachor somehow produced a product even worse than the Sloan/Kalish seasons.

Is Samurai its own universe?
