Should they have killed him off in Space or kept him around?

Well they already wrote him out in Turbo and he was barely in Space. So I don't know if they were ever going to bring him back full time. It was clever to use him as the plot driving Space. It worked even though the second Turbo Team only meant Zordon once that we know of.

Zordon dying had to happen to balence out the miracle that was Zordon's Wave. You can't have that much of a crazy duex ex machina without some sacrifice. I would say it was for the best.

I don't see much else he couldn't done besides come back for Megaforce. And we had Gosei for that. At least they wrote him off with a bang.

Zordon's death represented the loss of innocence for PR and the true end or the MMPR era. Since the storylines became much more serious. Well until Disney brought back the lightheartedness..

I really liked having a Ranger team that was mentorless. It waa certainty different from what we were used to. We would get it again in Galaxy ( Stanton was a mentor for the GSA Officers) and Time Force.

Killing of Zordon is beyond assnine. I am glad I don't consider these seasons canon. Zordon should always be part of Power Rangers.

If you only consider MMPR Canon...You do realize Zordon "died" in that finale. If you don't consider Zeo canon, Zordon and Alpha is left for dead.

It was never said he was dead for sure. I think he would have been alive in MMPR season 4. Since the writers had enough sense to keep him on the show for Zeo. In any case, that cliffhanger is one of the thing that annoys me about Hogday Afternoon. I hope we get real respolutione for it someday. Since Zeo doesn't count.

i don think we can say seasons aren't canon. Some are AUs but only if they say it on the show or made the season impossible to be in the same timeline as the main PRU.

MMPR Forever is stubborn. She often won't listen to reason. But some of us try anyway. Each to their own I guess. Better then those Sentai Snobs.

I don't think they had very many plans for Zordon. They just used him in Space to be the main mission.

I would have rather Zordon stuck around. It wasn't the same once he was gone. He was great for givening the viewers exposition. And I think the fanbase grew to love him.

I don't know. If felt like the show outgrew Zordon and it was time to move on. They gave him an awesome send off.

The storyline made sense, how else were they gonna defeat all those villains? Having Zordon survive that would just cheapen everything.

It definitely wasn't a mistake. The storyline was well executed and an example of good writing. They did justice to the character.

Zordon was the best and should never have been killed off. He would have made sure Kat and Karone were exposed as evil.

Since they were going to the seasonal cast change approach, it made sense to write off Zordon. At least he went out with a bang, or I should say a wave.

It didn't make sense to keep Zordon when they decided to go to the Sentai Approach. They already wrote him off as a full.time character in Turbo.

The real mistake was writing off during Turbo. Giving the storyline of Space it would have made far more sense to keep Zordon around full time for one more season. The Space Rangers would have clearly known who Zordon was. Space still works well though. Keeping Zordon around for Turbo just would have made more sense.

I think they made the decision to write him out at the right time. Killing him off was done in a very dramatic way.
