Billy going to Aquitar the first time
 

Anyone find it wierd that they did the whole Aquitar Storyline with Billy in the same season that Yost quit abruptly. Billy was only really gone for a few episodes the first time. And there was no way they knew David Yost was going to walk off the set.

It was a pretty strange conciedence. I am not sure what they were thinking.

It was almost like they were telling him he wasn't in the long term plans! But by all accounts we know it was his decision to walk out later on.

I always thought this was wkerd to. Of course at the time I thoughr they were really writing him off. Once he came bacm I fjgured I was wrong and was surprised when he left during the team up. Not knowing that David Yost quit the series abruptly.

I thought it was a cool storyline. And it led to the Red Battlezord being invented. I ended up liking the second time he goes to Aquitar and the Alien Ranger team up.

Perhaps Yost just took some time off or wasn't avaliable for the episodes in between?

There had to be a time off issue. But it likely had nothing to do with the walk out. They were lucky they were able to go back and use this storyline to come up with a way to write Billy out. Not to mention had access to the Kukuranger/Ohranger team up.

he probably just needed time off for personal reasons that's the only thing I can think of since he wasn't doing anything TV or movie-related at that point in time according to wikipedia oh wait there was a movie called "Scene of the Crime" that came out in '96 so perhaps that's why he took off?

more like not had access to the teamup but they were more willing to buy the rights for the footage.

Saban Entertainment should have fought hard for Yost and tried to get him to come back.
