Trini Mantis Episode
 

This is one of my favorite Yellow Ranger episodes and the best Trini episode imo. It was awesome to see Trini centerstage and take on the Mantis by herself. Her struggles to learn the Mantis Kung Fu made for a good episode. The subplot with Cockroach Kung Fu was hilarious.

I remember lol with that Bulk and Skull subplot. It was probably the funniest thing they ever did.

It was just so silly lol.

But I agree this was a good Trini episode. The time between Green Candle and Return Of An Old Friend had some really good character episodes. Some of season 1's best stuff.

Plus we got the actor who would go on to play Tao as her instructor.

VR Troopers may have already been filming by that point. Or at least the pilot for Cybertron. Which the actor was in as Tao.

I thought it was pretty weird that Trini trusted the Mantis to fight her fair.

The VA for the Mantis did a good job. She sounded so sinister and delivered her lines well.

They should have done some kind of a sequel of the mantis episode in S2 before the three left. Trini kicked butt in the episode plus I think that Thuy really enjoyed making it.

It is funny seeing the actor who played Tao play the Sensei. Before VR Troopers debuted no less.
