VR Suits and Metal Hero
 

This show was based on Metal Heroes series.
For Ryan Steele, I know his first VR suit was based on the suit from Choujinki Metalder. His second VR suit is based on the suit from Uchuu Keiji Shaider. However his Battle Grid suit is from neither of these (though it looks most similar to his first VR suit). Can someone here tell me which Metal Heroes show his Battle Grid suit is based on?

It's an American exclusive creation.

Zabitan is correct. The Battle Grid suits for Kaitlin, Ryan and JB are all original creations. I don't know if the actual body suit originated from anywhere or if it was just something that they created on their own but the helmets are actually repainted versions of the Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger helmet.

I don't think the body suits came from anywhere they were just an attempt to translate the designs of the Metalder, Spielban, and Diana Lady suits to spandex.
