Why didn't the Rangers go to College?
 

I always thought it was strange that they didn't have the Turbos go to college and used that to keep them around longer.

It would have been cool if Zeo continued and it showed the Rangers going to college in season 2.

It would have been hard to keep the core cast for four more years. JDF wanted out and was talked into staying for the Turbo Movie and first half of Turbo.

Perhaps if they didnt wipe the cast out we would have saw the Rangers in college?

I think its more likely you would have Adam and Tanya in the real world with Carlos, Ashley, and Justin in high schoole. And When Johnny and Nakia left they would be replaced with high school kids.

Well it all worked out because we got the Space Rangers.

When Turbo started and the Rangers graduated, I was actually surprised they didn't have them go to college. But the cast change made it clear why that wasn't going to happen.

I found it odd that they graduated and the new school year seemed to start pretty quickly for Carlos and Ashley.

I think they could have gone on longer with the original cast if Jason replaced Tommy. Catherine could have stayed or Emily could have joined the team.

Power Rangers The College Years would have been awesome. They could have continued with the high school kids. Basically do two different shows. College years would feature more original ground battles. Since Zords would be out of the question without Sentai Footage.

They could have got more MMPR footage from Japan and kept the series going for ten years. The other Sentai's could have been used for unrelated shows.

MMPR definitely should have continued with the Rangers Senior year and then college years.

They really should have paid Toei to do Dairanger 2 footage. That way they could have easily done more Zeo seasons.

Zeo was too much a flop with toy sales and ratings. The idea was to start fresh with Turbo and not worry about Zeo. They weren't investing more money in Zeo. Since it was seen as a failed concept.

I think Turbo's first half mainly took place over the summer. Towards.the end it was getting closer to the fall. Thats why Angel Grove's soccer.team was starting. Justin was in Summer School to make up some credits.
