Did Lightspeed have Ranger tech before Zordon?
 

The Captain said he was preparing Dana for 18 years to be a Ranger. So did LR have its own Ranger program in the works even before MMPR?

I think that's extremely possible due to what he said so it would make the most sense.

I think they planned a rescue team of some sorts. And added the Ranger part after C2D.

They probably did. The MMPR Rangers just made Power Rangers cool. And they were active first. It took Lightspeed years to make the powers. They were meant to be used when the demons were free anywy.

I also think that's a possibility too and I think that's the more likely one.

Tommy probably helped them to turn their Rescue Team into a Ranger team. Fairwather was trained by Hexagon.

I thought it was pretty silly Lightspeed was even able to event Ranger tech. Up until then the only Rangers were either founded by Zordon or someone from outer space.

The LR powers were most likely reverse engineered from the Space Powers. That's why they had to return home so quick. It could be that Lightspeed were trying to make their own Ranger team beforehand and failed in the beginning.

But we really have no reason to say that was a fact. The Space team never said why they went home. And it seemed like a far more urgent reason than just trying to help LR build their own Ranger team. Its not like the Demons were active yet and it had to be done right away.

We have seen in Super Megaforce, that there are other Ranger teams we didn't know about. I think Rangers existed on some level. Or were at least legends. The Lightspeed Program had nothing to do with MMPR's team. Just like most other teams have had their own origins separate from MMPR.

MMPR was special. I almost feel like none of the other teams were really Power Rangers. Maybe Zeo and the first Turbo teams. Even if those seasons were bleh too.
