Any claim of "Power Rangers" being its own thing was rendered moot after In Space. And American Sentai really started to greatly move away from that after MMPR. The Sentai Snobs have all agreed to refer to only American Sentai. And to encourage others to do the same. I hope Sentai Master and perhaps even American Sentai Snob can join us eventually.

I think its lame that they felt they couldn't do a straight foward adaption of the captian. It just proves how superior Super Sentai is to American Sentai.
