Default Re: Why didn't Disney hire Saban?

Usually the main exec producer is the showrunner in TV. But there are exceptions....Especially for Turbo part 2-WF. Jonathon was technically the producer but became Showrunner mid Turbo. Levy was Executive Producer with Saban. But he only was showrunner from MMPR to Turbo Par 1. In both cases there was another interesting wrinkle. Levy and Tzachor were both directors and not writers. Usually a showrunner has more of a writing background. But both had more influence creatively than Saban. We know Tzachor had a lot of influence. But this senario did make story editors like Sloan, Lynn, Marachand, and Bhaumik even more important

During the Disney era they had more conventional showrunners. Sloan and Kalish were both from writing backgrounds and credited as Execs. As were Eddie and Judd. The new Saban era went back to Tzachor as a director showrunner but credited as Executive this time. Now that Lynn has joined its back to Disney era style.
