There wasn't enough time. There was too much going on in the end of MMPR and nor enough episode. They at least did the moment where she pretended to join Rita so Tommy got could find the Zeo Crystal. Where Rita and Zedd almost made her evil for good. So they didn't just forget about it. By Zeo she had already moved on. But they did have that one scene where Rits tried to put her under a spell again.
