Exactly. Geki and Burai were borthers in Zyuranger. Jason and Tommy weren't.
Also, Burai was convinced that Geki murdered their own paretns and wanted to get Geki for that. This was downgraded to Tommy just being under Rita's evil mind-control spell in MMPR.

Although it's basically the same footage with American bits added into it, the MMPR writers told their own storyline. GWE was even Tommy's introduction episode and it stayed that way, whereas Geki and Burai's backstory was explored in Zyuranger. It's why I agree that both characters should stay in their own universe and are cannot be compared.

But on the other side of the medal, you can always wonder how a team-up between a Sentai team and its Power Rangers counterpart would look like. Escpecially because Zordon's "too much Pink energy" rule was introduced first (like everything else) and then somehow, completely contradicted in later seasons.
