Lost Galaxy really in the future?
I was thinking of a way to keep the near future setting of LG. Perhaps the wormhole could allow for time travel. So we saw the Space Rangers and Karone cross it from our time to LG's time and location. And when LG came to LR, they were travelling to our present.

It wouldn't have been possible since the Space Rangers and Karone had no aging involved. There was no time travel involved between Space and Galaxy because usage of portals were always mentioned.

Lost Galaxy made little sense and was pretty boring. It glt especially stupid when they let Karone become a Ranger.

I think it made perfect sense to let Karone redeem herself. We never got to see a lot of her as an honary Ranger.

I think the portal was a gateway to a pocket dimension. The Rangers wound up there when they left the Lost Galaxy. Which was in between both dimensions. The LG Rangers are actually from a parallel future. But the Space Rangers and Karone were able to make it to their dimension and back.

The portal led to Miranoi where-ever it may be. Whether that was the Lost Galaxy or its location in the finale.

I don't know why they simply didn't do a nature season.
