Default Should Kat have appeared as Tommy's Wife in "Forever Red"

At one point Amit wanted Kat to appear in "Forever Red" as Tommy's wife. But Jonathon nixed it to to the fact that he thought it would have gone over the kids heads. Plus Tommy/Kim we're the more famous couple.

I think it would have been a nice little easter egg for long time fans. But who knows if it would have made the cutting room floor.

To be honest..No. I think the show was so rushed to begin with that it would have been unnecessary. Plus I wasn't a huge fan of the Tommy and Katherine relationship in the first place. I always felt she seemed more into it then he ever did and it came off very forced to begin with. I don't know a huge amount of fans that really loved them as a couple so I think it would have just annoyed more fans then humored them.

Actually, there are a lot of Kat/Tommy shippers. The Kim/Tommy shippers would have been mad though.

Pfft, they might as well have shown her, she was on set after all (ended up just voicing one of the bad guys).

Since she was there and got paid, a cameo would have been awesome.

I think so if only to settle the whole "Tommy, and Kim vs Tommy, and Kat" issue.

I agree with you, Zabitan. I definitely think Kat should have shown up at the end of "Forever Red." I mean it's not like you had to give her any lines since she was just paid to do grunting work for Tezzla anyway. So it wouldn't have been all that time consuming to begin with anyway. All you had to do was after Tommy leaves from the other Red Rangers, show Kat arriving and then have Tommy address her so that it's obvious that they're married.

I think it's better they didn't show her. Maybe if FR was a two parter, it would make sense showing her, since there would be more of the story in the team-up. But otherwise, I think it's better that they didn't show her in the episode, because it was very rushed, although it was really great.

A one liner or series of them about why Kat isn't around in DT would have been better.

They do it beautifully in CSI with Sarah Sidle and Gil Grissom. They are both married and he is never on the show but used to be.

With Douglas Sloan in charge he could have if he wanted to. Easy continuity to put in, he was lazy as evident by his casting.
