Zordon never said the White Ranger Powers couldn't be destroyed or lost. Just that evil couldn't drain them, like what happened with the Green Ranger Powers.

exactly. Zordon just said the powers couldn't be "taken away" by the "forces of evil" obviously referring to the Green Candle spell BUT do keep in mind he had nothing to do with his powers in Season 3 so those could've been taken away.
